  12.     UZPronto is copyrighted material by UZful Software, Inc., and is
  13. distributed as shareware.  Shareware  distribution  of  a  program gives
  14. users a chance to try  software  before buying it.  The copy of UZPronto
  15. you have received is given an evaluation license for a certain number of
  16. days (generally  30 days,  depending on the version).  You can check the
  17. status of your license with the  "About" menu command.  For the duration
  18. of the evaluation period,  the  program  is fully  functional.  When the
  19. evaluation is over, it will give you a notice and no longer run!  If you
  20. try a  Shareware program and want to continue using it, you are expected
  21. to register.

  23.     Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and  commercial software,
  24. and  the  copyright  holder  retains  all  rights,  with a  few specific
  25. exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors generally are accomplished
  26. programmers,  just  like  commercial  authors,  and  the programs are of
  27. comparable  quality  (in  both  cases,  there  are good programs and bad
  28. ones!). The main difference is in the method of distribution.

  31. should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,  whether it's
  32. commercial or Shareware.  The  Shareware system makes fitting your needs
  33. easier, because you can try before you buy.  And because the overhead is

  35. -- if you don't use the product, you don't pay for it.

  44. Software Inc. assumes no liability for damages, direct or consequential,
  45. which may result from the use of UZPronto.

  47.     UZPronto  is  a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  48. to the user for evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends, but
  49. do not give it away altered or as part of another system. UZful Software
  50. grants  the  right  to  copy  and  distribute  this  version of UZPronto,
  51. provided  that all  files in the received package  (as shown in the file
  52. packing.lst)  are  unmodified  and  distributed together,  either on the
  53. same disk or in the same archive.

  55.     The recipient of this copy shall not  use,  copy,  rent,  lease,
  56. sell,  modify,  decompile, disassemble,  otherwise  reverse engineer, or
  57. transfer the licensed program  except  as  provided  in  this agreement.

  72. REGISTRATION

  75.     The essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal
  76. computer users with  high quality  software at a  low cost,  and yet to
  77. provide  incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products,
  78. and to maintain and improve released products. If you find this program
  79. useful and find that you are  using  UZPronto  and want to  continue to
  80. use  UZPronto after the evaluation period, you must make a registration
  81. payment  of  $15.00  to  UZful  Software, Inc.  The  $15.00  individual
  82. registration fee will license one copy of this version of UZPronto  for
  83. use on  one  computer.  You must register  UZPronto  for every computer
  84. on which you want to run it.  Specifically, the  individual  license is
  85. issued for a certain computer and the program will  not run on  another
  86. computer  without  registering  it.

  88.     To register your copy of UZPronto,  run the utility  "uzlicinf"
  89. provided with this distribution at the  DOS prompt on the computer that
  90. you  want to  run  UZPronto  on,  and  send  its  output along with the
  91. registration payment to

  98.     Please use the form in the file  register.txt  to register this
  99. program via  postal mail  and allow for (at least!)  1 week  of transit
  100. and administrative  delay.  Don't  forget to indicate a  return  postal
  101. address  or  e-mail  account where we can return your  license.  If you
  102. live  outside  the United States,  payment must be made by a bank check
  103. in U.S. $ drawn on a bank in the U.S.
  104.  
  105.     If you are a CompuServe user, you may register this program via
  106. the Shareware Registration service  (GO  SWREG), registration ID  5328.
  107. The library  file (GO WINSHARE) also contains the  registration number.
  108. A  floppy  containing the current (or latest) version of the registered
  109. program, as well as  evaluation  copies of our other products,  will be
  110. mailed  to  you.  Although  not  critical,  please  first   e-mail  the
  111. registration  form,  as it will give us some information on your laptop
  112. model to serve you better.

  114.     Commercial users of  UZPronto  must  register and pay for their
  115. copies of UZPronto within  30 days  of first  use  or their  license is
  116. withdrawn.  Non-restrictive Site-License arrangements and custom orders
  117. may be made by contacting UZful Software, Inc. directly.

  119. DISTRIBUTORS

  122.     Anyone distributing  UZPronto for any kind of remuneration must
  123. first contact  UZful Software  at the  address below for authorization.
  124. This  authorization  will  be  automatically  granted  to  distributors
  125. recognized by the  (ASP)  as  adhering to its guidelines  for shareware
  126. distributors,  and  such  distributors  may  begin  offering   UZPronto
  127. immediately  (however UZful Software must still  be advised so that the
  128. distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of UZPronto).
